I was taking a nap (which I never do because there's no time) when my "Pope Alarm" woke me up out of a dead sleep. Yes, I signed up for the Pope Alarm text but have been getting my texts late so that's not what woke me up. My "Pope Alarm" was Henry, who was also taking a nap and woke up screaming (he has been dealing with stomach aches lately--which is why I was taking a nap, because I was up with him for 2 hours last night.) Once I got him I checked my computer for new emails/orders and also checked on FB for the latest Pope news. "WHITE SMOKE!!!" was all over Facebook. I went racing to the TV and started calling for Dennis and the kids to see this rare event. Ok, I was actually screaming for them, but hey, no one was napping anymore.
I thought to grab my camera to take pictures of the kids watching the historical event of their new "Papa". Years from now, they may be adults when the next Pope is chosen.
We waited and waited--impatiently I admit.
We (and all those people in St.Peter's Square) waited for over an hour for the new Pope to reveal himself. And then he did! The kids were so excited!
Notice Max in mid-air?
I went on Facebook to type in my reaction to the new Pope--adding to what so many have already written:
"We have a Pope!!!"
And when I looked up, I saw this:

And when I looked up, I saw this:
Luke was kissing the TV--or rather, the new Pope.
And then, they all were kissing the Pope. They were so happy to see their new "Papa"!
